Like most great stories, there's a lot of different opinions!.
The main guy changes at the end!. But, why did he change!? Was it by choice!? And was it better for society that he changed!? Is it right to change him!? Or is it better to let him be free and cause crime!?
I would guess that it's mostly a satire on justice, definitions of right and wrong, free choice, criminal rehabilitation, etc!.
But, I'm sure you could write a thesis on it!. It's a pretty compelling story, along with the dialog and visuals!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I just wanted to mentioned that the book does a better job of this than the movie!. Only in that, in the movie Alex is forced to become good but then in the end it is clearly shown he is back to his old self or he would not have been able to picture what he did nor would he have said "I was cured all right"!. In the book he does regain the capability to hurt people but instead chooses not to after running into one of his old friends (george I believe) who has turned his life around!. Alex makes the decision to be good, which kind of shows he never needed this treatment from the prison at all!. The movie doesn't show any of this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
well its basically about society trying to 'cure' people who are bad!.todays society thinks that you can fix everything, and clockwork orange is about how a person tries to 'fix' someone, and then he ends up being the victim!.which is ironic because at first he's the villain!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
it satirises and questions the justice system mainly; criminal rehabilitation and whether or not criminals have rights!.
Alex is supposed to be quite young, and Burgess/Kubrick make a point of showing how his parents turn their back on him, and all authority figures in his life decide to forcibly change him rather than discover why he is the way he is!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The violence that we live in!. How a person who is 'cured' from his violence cannot protect himself and eventually becomes a victim!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
