Well, the first Nightmare on Elm Street was very scary, but, from a technical standpoint, it wasn't very good!. The special effects, especially at the ending, were very badly done!. Obviously, they did the best that they could with such a small budget, but still!.!.!. The acting, especially by the main female lead, was very uneven as well!. I'm not against remakes as long as they improve upon the original, which they rarely do!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because hollywood is full of morons who cant come up with original horror movie ideas!. When was the last time a great horror movie was made!? I honestly cant remember, i hope they dont ruin the good name of Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween was tarnished, Texas Chainsaw Massacre was ruined, come on when will it stop!. No one will ever top Englund as Freddy, which was in my mind the best horror movie serial killer i have seen!. Depp will not be outdone as Glenn, there is no way!. I think they should stop and try to work more on original ideas, instead of remaking movies to have more gore (like the crap we have now that is full of gore and lacks a scary or good story)!. It's sad, I've based pretty much my whole life around that movie!. Which sounds pretty weird!. But I watched when I was little and I loved it!. I played with the toys!. I pushed a little Freddy pull string doll around ina doll stroller! I'm studying Special Effects Makeup because I thought it was so cool the way they did that!. I know it's weird but that movie inspired me to do something!. And I find it heartbreaking and a slap in the face to Robert Englund and the other stars!. New Line Cinema has referred to itself as the "House that Freddy" built because they were on the verge of bankruptcy before they released that film!. And this is how they're repaying him!? With what will no doubt be a shi**y remake!?
I'm even more angry now that Billy Bob Thorton is supposed to be Freddy!.Robert Englund is too old!? Billy Bob Thorton is only 8 years younger than Englund! And another thing, I read that the makers of the remake want to go back to the first Nightmare with the darker less funny Freddy!. Then why the hell Billy Bob Thorton!? He's done a few well respected films, but lets face more people probably know him from crappy movies he's done!. In which he plays a foul mothed jack a$$ making d*ck and fart jokes!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm sure the remake will be as bad as say Jason X or Jason versus Freddy!. It's like in Jason versus Freddy you got the girl from Destiny's Child playing some character whose bloody stupid!. She's rooting for Jason while he's going after Freddy!. In the process of doing all that Jason winds up killing her anyways!. It's like you 2 psycopathic killers fighting it out you don't sit on the side somewhere and root for them you like bloody hell and get away!. But besides all that remakes are usually sad though and not anywhere as good as the oringinal!.

Give Freddy a break!. He always comes up with original ways of offing kidds!. Put your mind to it and think of them!. My favorite was the junkie chick in the alley!. All of his fingers were needles and her shooting points were sucking mouths!. Freddy is hands down the best!. also nobody can replace other actors in their long standing roles!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
