Why do parents bring very young children to violent, sexual, and vulgar movies i!
Question: Why do parents bring very young children to violent, sexual, and vulgar movies intended for adults!?
I recognize that being a parent is a tough job, and that parents are allowed to have time off to enjoy their lives!. However, why don't they leave the under-5-years-of-age children with another family member, or a babysitter, or at daycare, or just stay home with the child!?
I went to see "Dark Knight", and there was a child in front of me, I'm guessing about kindergarten age, who was BEGGING to leave, every time The Joker or Two-Face was on the screen!. The poor kid was scared out of her mind!. The parent kept saying "quit being such a baby"!. It wasn't just this movie !. !. !. I've seen this happen several times at various theatres!.
Seems to me that being a good parent is the top priority, and that your child's welfare is always first!. Why do some parents not recognize this!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I really don't understand that either!. Some parents are just so ignorant these days!. My cousin was telling me how he went to a midnight or it was late night showing of Land of the Dead and there was a mother and two kids!. He told me they were crying their eyes out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd say those parents are dumb, self-involved people, because I would never bring a child that young to see a movie with such sober themes!. Folks like that shouldn't be able to have kids!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I noticed that too when i went to see the dark knight!. I only thought afterwards how traumatizing it must have been for the little kids to see all that violence (and the MAGIC trick! (that was awesome))!.
Although Batman was almost always marketed for kids!.!. they have cartoons, clothes and toys with batman face and logo on 'em!. i bet the kids wanted to see the movie!. the parents probably didn't take notice of the rating for this one!.!.!. although i can't really explain why they would bring kids to see other adult type movies!.!.!.
