Where do we get the term "Movie Buff?"?!

Question: Where do we get the term "Movie Buff!?"!?
Hi,

I'm sure we've all heard that term used before, but in some cultures, "Buff" means fit / cut / bulky / muscular so I'm wondering where the term Movie Buff came from!?
also a buffer is something that stops / halts / slows down or blocks something I believe so I am very confused now!.

:-P

Not sure if Buff is Latin for something deeper but I'd be interested to read your replies

Thanks in advance :-)Www@Enter-QA@Com
