The movie didn't have a specific point!. It was basically a snapshot of someone's life!. Someone who has messed up and is trying to get their life back together!. It's a story and it's no more or less pointless than big budget movies - although Sherrybaby is much more relevant!.
It's a shame you didn't like it, but I give you credit for giving it a try!. The truly great thing about the movie was Maggie Gyllenhaal's performance!. She is a terrific young actress with a very bright future!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The point was!.Life!.A person's experience in trying to move out of an
environment to another!.She detested her sister in law for having what she wanted!.A good family life and what she was able to give to her daughter!.She thought she could go it alone-But couldn't!.Very good
