I like horror films that are more suspensful and jumpy and not graphic in your face violence, which is most of your older horror but there are some good horror movies from modern times, the older ones are the best in my opinion (espcially since they have remade a lot of them)

A Nightmare on Elm Street (the original)
Alien (first, second, and third)
Split Second (this movie surprising scared the crap out of me back in 1992 and it takes place in 2008!)
High Tension
The Descent
Children of the Corn
Candyman: Say Farewell to the Flesh
Stephen King's It
Scream (first)
The Birds (1963, original)
Polterguist
Pet Cemetary (first)
Evil Dead (1 and 2)
Army of Darkness (although this is more comedy-horror, it is the third film from the Evil Dead series)
The Thing
The Howling (first)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original, only)
Carrie (the original)
The Shining (the original, I think a new version or a miniseries was created for Sci-Fi channel)
Critters (the first)
Killer Clowns from Outer Space (this movie is funny, but not intentionally, I think it is worth a watch for bad horror films)
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (like the one above)
Swamp Thing (the original fro 1982)Www@Enter-QA@Com

They have not released a REAL horror movie since the release of "The Exorcist" what they call horror now is what I call Comedy!. But the "SAW" saga is an excellent series of movies, although I did not think them scary at all!. It really depends on how easily a person scares on what is a good horror flick!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

"The Others" is a bit simple, but works!. "Se7en" and "The Shining" (the Kubric version) made my life!.!.!.I saw both "The Sixth Sense" and the vomit scene in "The Exorcist" at a very young age and still have nightmares about both!. My friend says the same thing about "Nightmare on Elm St!."
Do NOT "The Boogeyman", "The (new) Fog" or any other M!. Night Shyamalan!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
