I watched it last night with the fam and I actually thought it was quite scary and I really enjoyed it!! :)

I thought it was good!. The point of why the girl was being "haunted" was very sad though!. The girl being haunted is not really haunted by a ghost, she is actually being molested by her father and her rage manifest itself as an evil "spirit"!. The woman in the modern day story realizes the same things going on with her daughter, that's why she runs after the car with her daughter and girl's father in the end!.

YES, I've seen it!. It was a great movie , but a little off the original story!. I grew up where the tale 1st started ( about 7 miles from adams,Tn) & have always been intrested in the story!. I an original book written by MV Ingrim (1894) that is told by one of the direct decendents of the Bell family regarding the Bell witch haunting and it is far scarrier than the movie & true to the legend!.If intrested, there is another movie about the Bell witch called THE BELL WITCH HAUNTING- put out by WILLING HEARTS PRODUCTIONS!. It follows the true story, but never came out in theatres, and has an unknown cast!. The movie can be gotten on-line through a Nashville distributer!.I think it's great , but not so sensational as THE AMERICAN HAUNTING!. When this movie came out, (AH) , the remaining Bell family was not happy about some of the content - particularly the incest theory!.I agree , knowing the family!.But, the movie was verry entertaing & should be taken as a fictional tale loosely based on a true story!.I , myself was excited when it came out because there is little known & little written about the subject- and it's so close to home! Tell your brother the story is true but not so much as protrayed in AMERICAN HAUNTING!. Anyway, I'm no expert , but I have read several books and talked to several family members since I was a kid in Pembroke, Ky!. I've always been captivated by the whole story / legend!. I actually loved the movie and saw it a dozen times!.!.!.!.!.!. I really loved the ending and every time I watch it I see different clues that i didn't notice the first time Www@Enter-QA@Com
