Title of a Horse Movie?!

Its a live action movie!. A little foal is born on a ship!. Somehow he and his mother get to land, but she dies, I'm not sure how!. The little foal grows up, and I believe the people in the town run away because of war or famine or soemthing!. So he saves all the other horses!. Any ideas to what film this it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
