I can't be for certain why it's in animated format other than it might have been less expensive to produce, but the style (not exact, but similar) ties-in with the Clone Wars cartoon series that was previously on television!. It's primary function is to just further close the action gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith--giving fans more of what exactly happened during the Clone Wars!. This movie is also a precursor to a live-action television series soon to come!. I believe some of this was first announced at C3, back in 2005, but of course, we'll see when everything comes to pass!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
