Why did the 6th harry potter get moved to summer?!

The REAL reason it got pushed back is that the Writers Strike slowed production on a number of big films!. Therefore, other than "Terminator: Salvation," Warner Bros!. had no potential blockbusters to release next summer!. They moved "Harry Potter" to July so that they could have at least two "big" movies to release during the lucrative summer season!.

It's frustrating for fans, but look on the bright side!.!.!.the span between "Half-Blood Prince" and "Deathly Hallows" will be that much shorter!
