The late Australian actor - who tragically died from an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January - was reportedly warned he had become too obsessed with his portrayal of iconic Batman villain The Joker in the upcoming blockbuster!.
A source told FOX News: "Heath refused to talk to anyone out of character!. If you tried to communicate with him normally instead of The Joker, he would just ignore you!."
"He would often come to the set to hang out even on his days off, freaking everyone out!. Towards the end of filming, he was warned by people that he had gone too far, but it was almost like he couldn't connect with those who cared for him anymore!."
Ledger reportedly locked himself in an apartment for an entire month before playing The Joker, who he described as a "psychotic, mass-murdering clown!."
Ledger also admitted he had such trouble sleeping while shooting the film he resorted to taking the prescription drug Ambien!.
Sources on the set of 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' - the movie Ledger was filming when he died - also claimed the actor could not "snap out" of character and seemed to have "lost sense" of who he was!.

I think he would still be alive if he didn't play the joker!. He became obsessed with him, he even believed at one point he was the joker!. He thought he was all the things the joker was!. And also, he couldn't sleep because of his character that's why he had the prescription drugs!. So i think he would still be alive!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
That's an extremely difficult question, but I don't believe the part of the Joker had anything to do with his death!. A friend of his said in an interview that he was taking pills to help him sleep because he was working so hard with the film he was shooting at that time, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
sometimes i wonder because he had sleeping problems and The Dark Knight cast were noctournal pretty much while filming at night and sleeping during the day; so i wonder sometimes, i think splitting up with michelle really didnt help at all and i loved heath, and i do with he was alive right now, very much, RIP!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Uh no, From most other things I have read that article isn't really true except the part of him havin sleeping trouble and the aprtment thing!. But otherwise!. who knows what might have happened maybe he might still be but the same maybe not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Maybe, but i doubt it!. I think he would probably be taking the pills anyway for his relational problems!. He wouldn't have died had he not taken too many pills!. It's simple as that!.

It's hard to say!. Honestly, I think his death had more to do with his depression over his girlfriend leaving him!. Although no one can really say!. The majority of method actors are taught to live under 'imaginary circumstances' so that they don't fall into the dark depression!. That's why I think it has more to do with his personal life!.

Wow that is a good question and I think its pretty hard to say!. I think he became obsessed with the joker because there was so much pressure on him to put on such a great performance!. Everyone was comparing him to jack nicklson and he looked at it as big shoes to fill!. I think this is a 50/50!. The dark night was mainly shot at night so that mean he would have to sleep during the day!. The ambian perscription would I guess sort of make sense, but doesn't add up!. Heath Ledger for all anyone knows could have had those perscriptions before the dark night and got it refilled!. There are many factors in this case!. Maybe his wife left him becuase he was abusing drugs or having an affair with the olsen sister that found him!. Because they were "good friends"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
just because he took this role doesn't mean it killed him!. sounds like an easy copout to me!. he did abuse drugs on a reg!. basis so don't make the joker the focal point!. he had relationship problems and other things going on that were going against him!. he didn't seek help because he prob enjoyed getting messed up!. he combined many pills and that's why he died, he got careless!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think playing a character that's so psychologically exhausting definitely affected him alot!. But I think he would be alive today if the maid that found him had called the police instantly instead of calling Mary Kate Olsen and talking to her for like 5 minutes while Heath was dying!. That's certainly part of the reason but I have to say it is a bit drastic to say that he would still be alive if it wasn't just for that character!. He was already stressed out from losing Michelle, his widow, and had insomnia right from the beginning and was taking medication due to it!.
And also, these things can be taken way outta proportion!. I read the interview about Jack Nicholson saying he was "furious" over The Dark Knight and others that said he was completely easy-going!. The stars did say he was acting funny and was highly dedicated but it wasn't all that he was getting lost in pits of darkness everywhere he went!.!. even if he was on the inside!.
Some say he was just stressed, others say he was getting high on meth/heroine, etc!., and some say it was suicide!.!. noone can really know but hope it was just an accident!.
