But if he does not get the Oscar I think he should get a lifetime achievement award, his body of work is quite good!.
It's a shame really!. You can clearly see he was coming into his own and picking great roles!.

It doesn't MATTER if he's dead or alive, I wish people would stop saying that!. It's like saying Bernie Mac deserves an Oscar for his upcoming movie Soul Men just because he passed away (which I very much doubt he does)!.
