Question: Why are so many movies by the major film studios completely unrealistic!?
Answers:
Well, first of all, you need something to appeal to a large audience!.

also, it has to be exaggerated sometimes, to get a point across!. Like in the film "Crash" (which is one of my all-time favorites), which is about a series of people connected by violence and racial discrimination, well, maybe something so interconnected like that wouldn't happen everyday, though it might, but it wouldn't have gotten its point across if it focused on just one incident!.

Other movies like romance movies may seem unrealistic because again, to appeal to a larger audience, they might not want to include just one or two romance moments because not everyone has the same idea of that subject!.

This doesn't mean that they are necessarily better movies because of it!.!.!.

but major film studios also have to garner money to keep them going, too, and most people are usually in the mood for something surreal, rather than something -- though it may be a good film -- that is too realistic!.

But, you have the independent films that even those other ones out!. Sometimes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because that's what the public expects and demands!. Nobody wants to pay to see "reality" !.!.!. they LIVE that!. Movies are escapism!. Some are dramatic commentary on reality, which is *closer*; but I can guarantee that those aren't big money makers, those are usually the small art films in limited runs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think because technology allows them to make ANYTHING happen!Www@Enter-QA@Com

because it wouldn't be any fun to watch ordinary people do everyday things!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
