The Muppet Movie--first is the best, but they are all quite good!.
Since you mentioned Kung fu Hustle here are some of my favorite Asian comedies!. Some of these may be harder to find, but all are axcellent!.
Zebraman-- middle aged cosplayer saves the world!. Hysterical!.
God of Cookery--directed by the guy from Kung Fu Hustle!. very funny!.

I was a big fan of the Ealing comedies and silent classics (especially Buster Keaton) when I was a little kid in the '80's but they might be too old fashioned
