Answers:
I agree with Kim C, i vaguely remember that Voldemort was said to have snake like slits for a nose!. But i think part of it too was about making it so Ralph Fiennes not so recognizable so you will think Voldemort and not Ralph Fiennes!. Hope that helps!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The other answers might not be clear if you haven't read the book so!.!.!.

In the Half Blood Prince (it's clear from early on in the movie so it's not really a spoiler), you find out Voldemort did something to make himself "immortal"!. He formed something called a horcrux!. Basically, during a ritual he kills a human sacrifice and splits his own soul into two pieces!. The other part of his soul is put into an object called a horcrux!. As long as the horcrux lives, Voldemort cannot be truly destroyed!. He can be regenerated!.

This was a black piece of magic teachers are forbidden to mention in school!. As dark as it is, Voldemort took it even further!. Dumbledore says early on that he believes Voldemort has formed six horcruxes!. By splitting his soul into this many different pieces, Voldemort lost his humanity and his appearance was transformed with it!. I believe the book tells you it's transformed even BEFORE he encounters Harry for the first time!.

The deatheaters generally didn't know he had done this, which is why it took him so long to be reformed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

"After he regained his body in the fourth book, Rowling described Voldemort as having very pale skin, a chalk-white, skull-like face, snake-like slits for nostrils, red eyes and cat-like slits for pupils, a skeletally thin body and long, thin hands with unnaturally long fingers!.[16] As mentioned in the first chapter of the seventh book, he also has no lips!. Earlier in life, as seen through flashbacks contained in the second and sixth books, Tom Marvolo Riddle is described as very handsome which is seemingly an inherited trait from his father, for his mother "!.!.!.was no beauty"!.[24] The transformation into his monstrous state is believed to have been the result of creating his horcruxes, becoming less human as he continued to divide his soul!.[26] Dumbledore also speculates that Voldemort may have gained his hideous appearance by undergoing dangerous magical transformations!. In the movies (with the exception of the first), however, Voldemort's eyes are blue with round pupils!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well!.!.!.his origional body WAS destoryed after committing many evil deeds!. He regained a body though dark magics!. Nobody said that a body formed as a result of dark magics would be pretty!. :) An external manifestation of the evil soul he had built over the years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Voldemort is snakelike so he doesn't have a "nose"!. He has done so many things to make himself immortal that he has deformed himself (kinda like Michael Jackson!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
