Name of another late 80's horror movie?!

Question: Name of another late 80's horror movie!?
I remember these teenagers were patients in a psychiatric hospital, and they couldn't go to sleep because if they did, a ghost would make them commit suicide in their sleep, and they died in real life!. NO, it's NOT "Nightmare on Elm Street", but it's similar!.
And there was one scene where a girl went into an elevator and waved goodbye to her friend, but the ghost, who looked like Hannibal Lecter, was standing in the elevator with her and she didn't even know it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Bad Dreams (1988)
starring Richard Lynch, Jennifer Rubin, Bruce Abbott, Dean Cameron, Harris Yulin, John Scott Clough, E!.G!. (Elizabeth) Daily, Damita Jo Freeman, Louis Giambalvo and Susan Ruttan!.
IMDb synopsis:
A influential cult leader, reminiscent of Jim Jones, Harris seduces his communal group of worshipers to take part in a suicidal fire pact which explodes the house they live in, but one survives: Cynthia, who awakens 20 years later to the care of Dr!. Berrisford!. Spending her days in a mental hospital without any family to speak of, Cynthia attempts to revive memories of her past before the house fire which took the lives of those she cared about!. Her memories will assist the police in closing a case long spent open as Detective Wasserman, working the scene at that time, remains convinced that Cynthia's not the victim she seems to be!. His feelings are assisted when members of Cynthia's therapy group, each known for suicidal tendencies, each begin killing themselves, with her nearby, believing she's a possible catalyst as to their sudden decisions to end it all under grisly circumstances!. Before each member of her therapy group dies, Cynthia is either visited by Harris~either as he was in the Sixties or with charred burnt flesh~or sees him following them!. Her assigned psychiatric physician, Dr!. Alex Karmen, doesn't believe in Cynthia's bogeyman manifesting from her nightmares to kill members of her therapy group and is convinced there's another type of motivation causing the strange suicides that have begun to emerge!. Karmen pursues the truth with odd resistance from his own superior, Berrisford, as Cynthia slowly falls prey to her hallucinations (or are they!?) of Harris!. If she doesn't end her own life, Harris will continue to take souls!.

As a Richard Lynch fan since his film debut in "The Seven-Ups" and "Scarecrow", both released in 1973, I have this one in my videotape collection! He's a handsome, talented actor who is extremely overlooked!.

Actually, I understand why people suggest "ANOES 3: Dream Warriors" (1987)!. This film faintly resembles "Bad Dreams" except the young people learn to fight Freddy though it's ultimately a losing battle when the kids and Freddy meet up again in "ANOES 4: The Dream Master" (1988)!. In that one, he manages to kill all but one, if I recall correctly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
