Question: What's with the "Darker" batman and Joker!?
don't get me wrong, Dark Knight was a GREAT movie, but
why did batman and the Joker seem "darker" for lack of better words!.!.!.
i mean i've always known the joker's makeup to be neat, and he wasn't as "brutal" as he was in The Dark Knight!.

Its called comic book Batman!. The Tim Burton Batmans that you are thinking of were more based off of the old TV show and were more campy and cheesy!. The Nolan films are based off the comics which are very dark!. The Joker is a extremely violent psycho in the comics!. His greatest quote ever was "It's not fun unless you're killing someone!." The Joker simply evolved with the times, as the viloent dark nature became more and more acceptable by society the Joker got darker and more insane!.
On another note in the comics the Joker doesn't wear makeup!. He took an acid bath basicly and his skin and hair are dyed that way permanetly!. That is also the reason he is so nuts btw, dont know why they didn't stay true in that respect in the movie, they should have!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I take it you aren't familar with Batman comics !? True, when Batman first started, the comic books weren't quite so dark and gritty!. But ever since the re-interpretation of Batman and The Joker in the 80's its been just as dark as it was in Dark Knight!. Honestly, its because of those classic comics in the 80s that the movie is the way it is!.
If you're not familiar, read Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, Year One and Alan Moore's The Killing Joke!. The first two will make you understand Batman Begins and Dark Knight and the last will make you see how the Joker has been "dark" and "brutal" for quite longer than you may think!. ; )Www@Enter-QA@Com

From time to time they like to try to change it up and explore a more gritty approach to the Batman!. I mean we have had every sort of Batman over the years, and it just another way of making him relevant to the changing times and tastes!. Since we have our own Unique American Mythos which includes the cast of DC and Marvel comics along with some other figures, it is only natural that they become revised!. Just look at all of the different ways Hercules has been presented over the years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
