Who knows!? But is sure as hell will give Titanic a run for it's money, literally! Ha ha ha, sorry bad pun!.

I hope it breaks the all-time record, it's 100 times better than Titanic! I'll go and watch it ten times just to be sure!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight," grossed a record $18!.5 million from midnight preview screenings ahead of its official opening on Friday, according to box office tracking service Media By Numbers!.

That tally includes receipts from 12:01 a!.m!. Friday showings only in 3,040 North American theaters -- 3 a!.m!. and 6 a!.m!. screenings were not counted -- and shatters the preview record of $16!.9 million set by "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" in 2005, Media By Numbers said!.

The film's robust performance in advance screenings bolstered projections that "Dark Knight" was headed for an opening weekend of $100 million or more in the United States and Canada!.

Its fortunes are further brightened by mostly positive reviews and a record wide release on Friday by Warner Bros, a unit of Time Warner Inc, in 4,366 U!.S!. and Canadian theaters!.

"Dark Knight" cost about $180 million to produce!.

A follow-up to 2005's "Batman Begins," which grossed about $372 million worldwide, "Dark Knight" reunites director Chris Nolan and star Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader!. It also features the late Australian actor Heath Ledger in what turned out to be his last completed screen role, as Batman's arch nemesis, the Joker!.

Only 10 other movies have managed to cross the $100 million domestic box-office mark in their first weekend, led by "Spider-Man 3" with $151 million in 2007 and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" with $135!.6 million in 2006!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've seen it twice also! I wouldn't be surprised, thats alot of money in just 10 days, isn't it!?
Maybe i'll just see it a third time, not only because i've been dying too, and because its a fantastic movie, but so i can help contribute to making the Dark Knight the highest grossing film of all times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it is a mind numbing amount but i guarantee it wont break titanics record!. for the record, titanic made $1!.6 billion at the box office so dark knight still has a solid $1!.3bn to go!.!.!.!.!.it is a much better movie but it just doesnt have the family appeal that titanic had and that kept ppl going back for more!. its just too dark and complicated for some ppl to handleWww@Enter-QA@Com

I think it will!. Its a great movie! and if it has made over 300 million in just 10 days it will definitely go over 600 million by the time it stops playing in movie theaters!. I think that it will pass Titanic's record by a fairly decent amount!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think it has a chance of breaking Titanic's domestic record of 600 million but there's no way it will break Titanic's world record!. The international audience doesn't like comic book movies as much as we do!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

im going to see it again, because it was a good movie and to help it become the number 1 movie for all time recordWww@Enter-QA@Com

I highly doubt that!.!.
Maybe 400+, but yeah, the hype is dying down!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i saw it 2 times too once w/ my friend and once w/ my familyWww@Enter-QA@Com

idk!. i highly doubt it!.!.who knows!. i guess we'll see wont we!?
i mean titanic was really good!. and so was this!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
