The people on the ferry didn't blow each other up and because the Joker was busy fighting Batman he wasn't able to blow them both up!. So the ferry survived and is supposed to represent the fact that people are inherently good!. Batman felt a lot of guilt because he lost his love - Rachel, and because he felt he was putting people in danger rather than keeping them safe!. However, in the closing when it says "the Dark Knight" it is implying that Batman will be "the Dark Knight" saving people without people knowing about it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Batman decided to take the blame for Harvey Twoface's murders, so Gotham wouldn't be demoralized at their "White Knight" (Harvey) falling to the point of senseless murders!.

i don't think two face actually died!. it seems unlikely that he would die falling 10 feet!.!.!. because batman also feel off the same thing and he didn't die!. i think two face just got knocked out!.

ferry people decided not to blow each other up and batman took the blame for two face's murders to make sure that all the good work harvey dent did wasn't for nothing!. Batman is now being hunted by the police for those murders!.
