What's the difference between a Director's Cut movie with the theatrical!
Question: What's the difference between a Director's Cut movie with the theatrical release!?
Answers:
Theatrical release is the final print that EVERYONE agrees on, including studio heads, producers, etc!. Sometimes the director has filmed scenes that were not included in the theatrical release for various reasons (sometimes producers didn't like it, sometimes it had to be cut to achieve a certain MPAA rating, etc)!. Usually a director's cut is how the director envisioned the movie!. A lot of times it doesn't change much!.!.!.in my opinion it's often done as a way to "repackage" the film and sell more copies!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The Director's cut may have lots of extra footage that wasn't in the theatrical release!. For example, take the Abyss!. It probably ran about 2 hours in the theater, but the director's cut made it about a 3 hour movie!. I actually appreciate the Director's cut better because it contained information that would have added depth to the movie that I saw in the theater!. It made other things make sense!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The Director's Cut (also known as the Unrated Cut) has more scenes/dialogue than the theatrical release!. For example, if it's a horror movie, the Director's Cut will probably have more blood and gore!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Director's Cuts are longer and more boring, imho!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
