Agree with the bada$$ joker comment!.

I think the movie was about the duality of being human - we're never 100% good (or bad)!. Sometimes our good intentions go wrong!. It's about the chaos of fighting terrorists who don't play by "rules!." Abandoning the "self" for the greater good, making the hard compromises, sticking to a set of ethics even when the outcome isn't always positive!. (The difference between Batman and the Joker was about the strict set of rules versus no rules at all!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com

what I got from the movie is that we can be any of these characters depending upon circumstances!.!.!.that society is fake if you really think about it!. Tomorrow I could decide to be a mass murderer like the joker or I could dress up and save people like Batman!.!.!.You can do anything you want to do and you set the rules for yourself!.!.!.So "personal responsibility" :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

That Heath Ledger played one bada$$ joker no one else will be able to pull it off like him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
