What did you think of Harvey Dent/Two-face in The Dark Knight?!

Question: What did you think of Harvey Dent/Two-face in The Dark Knight!?
What were you're thoughts on the makeup, the way he was portrayed, and the motive of his character!?

With all of the attention focused on Heath Ledger's performance and his death I should get this out of the way and say he was totally fantastic!. And with that II thought Aaron Eckart was really underrated as his portrayal of Harvey Dent!. He did a fantastic job!. I loved the scene at the end of the movie; It was really tense and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time!. What did you guys think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was blown away by Aaron Eckhart's performance of Harvey "Two-Face" Dent!. Everyone went in the theatre wanting to see Heath Ledger and his portrayal of the Joker, but I was surprised when at the end of the film I realized that Two-Face was the bigger storyline all along!. When I saw all the previews, I figured this movie was just building up to us having Two-Face in the next movie or something, I didn't even realize that we would see him turn bad in The Dark Knight!. Thinking back throughout the movie, it was great seeing how Joker really fed Two-Face and pretty much created him, stoking the fire with all the necessary things to make this guy really pissed off and just as psychotic as can be!. They did an awesome job with the makeup, I couldn't take my eyes off of his face, watching the intricacies of how it all became him!. Aaron Eckhart did a standup job and I can't wait to see his resume his role in future Batman movies!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Makeup-Ghastly!!! I cringed several times!. Very excellent!.

The way he was portrayed-Having no real information on the comic book character, I believed in his character!. He was one of the few good guys left!. I tried to find something sinister but couldn't!. He was the white knight and I really rooted for him to turn things around!.

Motive-I think his motives at the beginning was very understandable!. However, after Rachel's death, I found his turning to the darkside a bit unbelievable!. I guess more should have been shown regarding his relationship with Rachel so I could better believe him when he went on his rampage!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Great job as the great hope of Gotham, and tragic when he was tarnished!. It was a fantastic storyline that did nothing but help establish why Gotham needs Batman!. Fantastic makeup effects and great acting by Eckhart!. He was a big reason that the movie was so terrific!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Before I saw the movie I couldn't imagine Aaron Eckhart playing two face, but damn he did a pretty good job!. And those special effects on his burnt side were incredible, so realistic!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think you are right!. He got lost in the whole Heath Ledger story!. He did an excellent job!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Aaron Eckhart was amazing in this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought Eckart did an outstanding job, but I was a bit bemused by his sudden turning from good guy to bad, tormented guy -- I thought he had more strength of purpose than that!. His relationship with Rachel didn't seem deep enough to warrant that degree of hysteria after the bombing!. It's been a LOOOOONNNNG time since I read "Batman" comic books, but when I heard Gordon say, "Two-Face", I was startled -- mostly because I was thinking, "Hey, only one bad guy per movie!!"

That, and I was amazed that he was able to be up and around so fast with those kinds of injuries!. :-) Fantastic make-up job, btw, especially the exposed tendons and teeth!. I was amused, though, how he showed up in the suit, with just a tinge of lavender, that he had been wearing in the bombing, singed in just the right places, but beautifully cleaned and pressed everywhere else!Www@Enter-QA@Com
