It'll drive me nuts!! Because the first half will come out November 2010, and the other will come out May 2011!. I wouldn't care if the movie was like 6 hours long!! I'd rather it be 6 hours then have to watch it in two halfves!. Why are they splitting it!?!?!?!?!? WHY!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( info from IMDB!.com

Yeah I wish too they had the whole movie together, it would ruin the anticipation!. Die-hard HP fans wouldn't mind sitting in the cinema for 6, or even more, hours!!! The 5th movie wasn't really welcomed cause they missed so many parts (including Valentine's Day which I was dying to watch!!), they just liked crammed bits together, which made the movie quite uncharismatic!. And DH has so so so many important parts without which Harry Potter wouldn't just be Harry Potter!!! Yeah but we can't deny, a 6-hour movie is pretty long, some people may not be against it, but mostly everyone wouldn't sit on their butt in a cinema hall for all that time!. lol We would have to pay for two tickets!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
They are splitting, because unlike the other movies, it's important that they don't take anything out of the book in this movie!. They need to include everything, because it's the last movie, you know!? This is it!. There are too many important things in book 7, and they can't afford to have anything cut out this time!. I love this idea! If they tried to fit the whole book into one movie, it would be crap! It would not make sense, and everything would be jammed in!. That does the final book no justice!. Splitting it would make it so much more worthy!. I don't see why it's a problem!. It 's a good thing, because for once, fans won't be complaining about how different the books and movies are!. Here's a tip too: Don't go see the part 1 the week it comes out!. See it as close as possible to the release of part 2, so that you don't forget everything that happened in part 1!. It will still feel like 1 movie!. Or, there is a chance that at one point, both parts will be in theaters at the same time!. So, see them both in the same day, right after one another!. You and many others hard HP fans will not bother, but in general movie goers do not like to sit more than two hours or two hours and a little bit more watching a movie!. Just check out how many movies have more than 2 hours!. Not many compared to the amount of movies with less than 120 minutes!.
The novel is long, very long!. Options:
1!. Cut many things out to fit in a 120 minutes or a few minutes lomger movie!.
*** Fans will protest the adaptation was not good because critical plot elements were left out!.
2!. Do an extremely long movie!.
*** The mayority of the moviegoers will not see the movie because they do not like loooooooooooong movies!. Just the hard fans will see it and earning$ will Suffer!.
3!. Cut the movie into 2 movies of 120 minutes or less!.
*** Enough time to develop every plot element that is critical / uimportant to be at the movie!. Fans will be pleased!.
*** Moviegoers will be pleased!.
*** People will pay two times to see the complete story!. Producers will be plea$$$ed!.

i think thats stupid splitting in two then why dont it come after the second half the hole movie because people are gonna get mad because they cant see the other one untill next year

because six hours is a little rediculouse but yeah about six hours of movie because tehy didnt want to leave anything out at all!. I think the split is a good idea better than them always leaving something out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The main reason is they want the money train to last as long as possible so by splitting the movie into two parts they can get twice the revenue that one final movie would bring in!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
