Name of this movie? Shake dance scene at beginning.?!

Okay, this is driving me crazy!. I saw this movie maybe 8 - 10 years ago!. It's an Indie, and I remember very little about it other than it was about some angsty teenage girl!. At the very beginning of the movie, she's in her bedroom watching a show on TV!. The show she is watching is some Indian music video, where the singers are "shake dancing!." (At least I think it's what it's called!. They're literally shaking their heads back and forth, trying to act very sexy!. (I thought it was hysterical, and I want to try to find it on YouTube!.) Does anybody have an idea what I'm talking about!?
