I read that Critics are saying it will be impossible for Heath Ledger to win the Oscar award!. They said, no matter how awesome he is, it will be hard to win!.

I agree with Have a Laugh, Heath saved his best for last!.!.Yes, I haven't seen the movie yet but by looking at the trailer I know he did a magnificent job as the Joker!.!.I believe regardless if a person is dead or not, they should be entitled to an Oscar if they did an excellent performance!.
The hell with the critics, in my personal view Heath doesn't need an Oscar to be remembered by his fans, just watch the movie tonight or tomorrow and applaud him for leaving us a such a remarkable and stupendous film in which we all will remember him for always!.

To prepare for the role, Ledger lived alone in a hotel room for a month, formulating the character's posture, voice and psychology!. While he initially found it difficult, Ledger was eventually able to generate a voice that did not sound like Jack Nicholson's take on the character in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film!. He started a diary, in which he wrote the Joker's thoughts and feelings to guide himself during his performance!.

I think that if he is as good as the critics are saying then will get a nomination for sure!. If he gets the nomination I think that he will have as good of a shot of winning as he deserves if not a better chance!. I think that if he's nominated then the Academy members would be fair and judge it accordingly, or even be more likely to vote for him as a "tribute" or "memorial" to his talent saying that his career and talent deserve an Oscar and this is going to be the last chance, as he didn't even complete his final role "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus"

I agree because those types of movies are harldy ever looked at and arent really "oscar types!.!.!."

Its all because James Dean passed away right after he had starred in two movies that were Oscar worthy, but never won that year!. They feel that even if Heath has passed away and his role is magnificent, it doesn't mean that he is guaranteed an Oscar!. Personally, i think they will break that trend and he will win!. He deserves it and everybody knows it!.

i agree!.!.its b!.s!.!.!.but it is the character he is playing that will deny him the award!.!.it wont have nething to do with is death or acting ability!.!.but the character just wont flow with the oscars!.!.!.i mean i am still bitter about pacino in scarface!.!.!.its a bunch of politics!.!.but everyone will c this movie and show him repsect!.!.the oscars does not have to recognize him for this role to be great and for him to make his last impression on society as the joker!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think not!. I think that he could win an award even if he's dead!. I mean look at Aaliyah, she got an award in 2002 when she died a year earlier!. Missy Elliot accepted her award on her behalf!. Heath has just as much of a priviledge to win just like anybody else at the Oscars!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think the only reason there is such a big buzz about him winning the Oscar is because he is dead!. If he hadn't died, people wouldn't be talking about him or the movie as much as they are!.
