In 1954 there was a French film called Wages of Fear!. It was anti American and about 4 criminals who are given a chance at freedom if they can explode some nitro near an out-of-control fire and survive!.
In 1977 still pretty fresh from his success with The Excorcist and The French Connection, William Friedman did a remake of the film called Sorcerer with Roy Scheider, not bad, but nobody could figure out what it was about and it was the first of Friedkin's failures!.
Now to sort of answer your question The TV show The Big Valley had an episode where Nick, Heath, and Jarrod had to carry some nitroglycerin to stop a raging fire in the valley!. It was not a spoof; it was a straight steal!.
I cannot think of too many examples where movies have pulled whole plots from each other, but there was a time after Airport and Airport '75 when every dramatic and comic TV show had its major characters have to fly and land a big jet and except for some bumpiness do so with aplomb!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The weirdest one I saw was the second Charlie's Angels film, which had loads of 'references' to things like Blues Brothers, Dr No, The Terminator, and various others which I've thankfully forgotten!. No idea why they did it!. Didn't stop the film being rubbish!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
