Question: Can anyone help me find a half remembered film!?
Saw part of this film many years ago and have been trying to remember for a long time!.
It could have been black and white or the very low colours you used to get!.
About a Deaf little girl maybe about 7 who gets sent to a Deaf boarding school and cant settle there, head teacher agrees to let her be a day student this causes arguments with other parents who say her mum is having a relationship with the teacher, (I think they do form a relationship in the end) they teach her to speak using a big red balloon!.
One evening the girl wants to play ball in the street with other children and they want to know her name before she plays with them and this is the first time she speaks but I cant remember her name!.
I think it was set in America but am not sure and don’t know what year it was set in!.
