What is the first film that comes to mind when you hear horror film?!
Question: What is the first film that comes to mind when you hear horror film!?
the first horror film that comes to my mind is still Nightmare on Elm Street!. what does that tell you about the quality of old horror versus the new horror movies!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
Nightmare on Elm street- older horror was a combination of slice and dice and mental horror(meaning it scares your mind) the newer stuff just focuses on mental horror and not so much action like Friday the thirteenth 1-100 and nightmare on elmWww@Enter-QA@Com
The Haunting (1963)
It doesn't mean anything actually because I also immediately thought of these because I have a mind that leaps from one thing to another, automatically creating a chain of titles:
Salvage
Wind Chill
Dead Silence
The Gravedancers
The Changeling
Ghost Story
The Innocents
The Messengers
I could keep going because I think there are some great horror films being released, but I still love the older ones!. Besides, not every older horror film is all that good!. Or, people change their minds about movies!. For example, when "The Fog" came out, a remarkable number of people said, "Well, it's nowhere as good as 'Halloween'!." They said the same thing about "Prince of Darkness"!. Over time, people have grown to love movies that, once upon a time, were put down by the public!. I remember the reviews because I'm an older film buff who read those reviews in film magazines and letters to "Fangoria" and other genre magazines!. I heard people who savaged those movies now praise them!
I've seen many fantastic horror films, which I've added to my favorites!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
