Question: How authentic was the Andy Kaufman bio "Man on the moon"!?
i thought Jim Carrey did a really good job, but how close to the truth was this movie!? i heard someone say that Andy's co-stars on "Taxi" hated him, yet in the movie they seemed on good terms with him!. is any of this true!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Carrey was indeed amazing, but there seems to be a lot of invention in the movie!. For one thing, Andy didn't meet girlfriend Lynne Margulies in the wrestling ring!. (Actually, they met the day he filmed his documentary "My Breakfast with Blassie," his restaurant conversation with wrestler Fred Blassie!.) also, it's true that Kaufman's Taxi castmates didn't get along with him when he played Tony Clifton, whom they didn't realize was Kaufman in disguise!. Finally, not even Kaufman writing partner Bob Zmuda thinks Kaufman really faked his own death, though the movie left that possibility open!. Below are some good links for more Kaufman info!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was pretty authentic!. That was one of the things I liked most about the film!.

The "Taxi" cast had a love/hate thing with Kaufman!. They loved him when he was being Andy, but despised him when he was being Tony Clifton, because he simply refused to drop the act, even when it was clear they'd all had enough!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
