As far as appropriateness, that depends on your moral sensibility and the maturity of the 15 year old!. I see no reason why a 15 year old can't see the movie if accompanied by an adult!. The question is, whether that sort of violence could effect a child in a manner which would be detrimental to that child's mental and psychological development!. These days, there are video games more violent being played by kids of all ages, the distrobution of which is not restricted as it should be by retailers!. I suspect revenue is more important than parental advisories!. It would be naive of me to say that people know that themes found in cinema are make believe when the many Columbine-like tragedies seem to be on the rise with young people, but I hardly blame the movie industry for that failing, but rather the parents!. Well, the film is rated R for graphic bloody violence, so I guess it all depends on those 15 year olds' stomaches!. However, I'm pretty sure there's a couple butt shots in the film!.
