Question: Did you find this odd about the reaction to the movie Brokeback Mountain!?
So, it's about two gay cowboys!. We all know that!.
What I find is that even the liberals who are all for gay marriage and love and say it's the same thing as straight love, just people are different, wouldn't allow their kids to watch it!. Even if the kids were like 14 their parents wouldn't permit them to watch it!. But if it was about two straight people falling in love, like the notebook, it would all be fine!.

People who say that they are "all for"gay marriage,but would have a fit at the idea of thier children being "exposed"(like it's a disease)to homosexual interactions would cause some mysterious "gay impulse" and they'd be running the streets trying to bed every man or women they see!. It's akin to saying"I'm not a racist! Some of my best freinds are Black!" who wouldn't be caught dead in a black persons house,let alone their neighborhood!. The idea the gay people go around "recruiting" young people is not only insulting,it's downright silly,especially since the majority of child predators are straight! So, when confronted with this kind of veiled hatred,I simply say,"I'm not the one you need to be worrying about,Fool!. Your kids are more in danger from someone inside the family, maybe good old Uncle Mike,maybe even that nice man next door,or the guy across the street who oogles your 12 year old daughter when you're not looking!."
There was awomen who answered a similar question saying that she wanted her children to grow up with the same"values"as she did, meaning I guess that gay people grow up in a vacume and not with exactly the same values(Although I can't help but think that's code for"Think like me,or else!") Believe it or not, we're just as morally upright as some of you pretend to be(while cheating on your wives and grilfreinds and getting up to God knows what kind of mischief)and we certainly want children to be safe!.

I think its more about the s*x part of the movie than anything!. I know if I had a child who was 14 I would not let them watch that even with straight people!. So I dont think it has much to do about being gay!. Just the s*xual stuff on screen in general!. In my opinion that is!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
