Who was the most powerful character in star wars ?!

Question: Who was the most powerful character in star wars !?
Answers:
If you mean who was the most powerful in terms of the Force then the answer is very simple and I can't believe none of the others that answered this question saw it!.

Remember in ep 1 when Qui-Gon had Obi-Wan analyze a blood sample from Anakin!. Do you remember what Obi-Wan said about it !.!.!. something to the effect of it's off the chart, over 20,000 !.!.!. even Master Yoda doesn't have a midi-clorian count that high !.!.!. to which Qui-Gon replied that no Jedi had!.

The most powerful Jedi/Sith in the Star Wars story was Anakin Skywalker !.!.!. before the "suit" anyways!. When he had to be put in the suit in order to live it cost him about 1/3 of his Force power!. That put him just below the Emperor!. So, before the "suit" the power list went like this:

Anakin Skywalker
Yoda
Darth Sidious
Mace Windu
Obi-Wan
Luke Skywalker

After the "suit" the power list went like this:

Yoda
Darth Sidious
Mace Windu
Obi-Wan
Luke Skywalker
Darth Vader

May The Force Be With You !.!.!.

EDIT:

A small note to all "Wikipedia" users !.!.!. any info about Star Wars on these "wiki" sites should be researched and confirmed by other sources because the Star Wars info there has been under a sustained attack by SuperShadow and his goon squad!. In the past 6 weeks I have found 81 misleading statements there with 29 of them being outright lies!. The site owners are aware of the problem and are trying to correct it but the very nature of these sites make it extremely hard to "police" them!. They have traced many of these problems to fake id's, many of them can be linked to SuperShadow!. It truly is a sad state of affairs because the "concept" of these sites is really awesome !.!.!. info from the people that know it!. It's too bad some idiots feel the need to mess with it!.

To "ALAMCZYK":

"if you read the books after The Return of the Jedi you would have realized that the Emperor came to terms that he had grown too old to rein over his empire so in a way he manipulated Vader into throwing him down an endless shaft!. I guess he thought it was easier to die a quick death than to have a long drawen out death!."

I'm just wondering !.!.!. what the hell were you smoking when you wrote this!? I've been a mega-geek Star Wars fan ever since it first came out in 1977 and I have never, and I do mean NEVER, read a statement that was as untrue as this one!. I have read every single book that has come out set in the time period after Return Of The Jedi and no where !.!.!. NO WHERE !.!.!. does Palpatine ever even think that he is "too old to rein over his empire "!. As a matter of fact, when his is finally killed !.!.!. no, he didn't die when Vader threw him down the reactor shaft !.!.!. his last words are that he will haunt the Skywalker line until the end of time for their betrayal of him!. I'd go into the story about how he survived but I think it would be to much REAL info for you to handle!.

A word of advise !.!.!. if you don't know the answer to a question don't answer it will a line of bull !.!.!. it's disgusting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Emperor!. Not only was powerful in the sense of the Dark Side, but he was also powerful in the terms of manipulation!. Not only did he manipulate his way to the top of the senate and convinced everyone to form the Empire, but he also manipulated Anakin enough to create Darth Vader!. But if he was so powerful why did he let Vader kill him in the end!? Ah if you read the books after The Return of the Jedi you would have realized that the Emperor came to terms that he had grown too old to rein over his empire so in a way he manipulated Vader into throwing him down an endless shaft!. I guess he thought it was easier to die a quick death than to have a long drawen out death!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Emperor Palpatine, I'd say!.

He and Yoda seemed pretty evenly matched in terms of Force ability, but in terms of power (as in influence) he did kinda take over the whole galaxy!.

He led both factions - the Old Republic/Empire as Palpatine, and the Confederation as Darth Sidious!. That's power, if you ask me!. And took down the entire Jedi order with just one apprentice!.

Anakin had power, but it was Palpatine pulling the strings!. And Darth Vader seemed powerful in Ep!. 4, but he was actually pretty handicapped, we learned later, and who did he serve!? Palpatine!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Emperor Palpatine (aka Darth Sideous) was the most powerful in both influence, and the ways of the force!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Very vague question!. Based on Episode IV alone I would have to go with Vader!. It can be argued that Ben Kenobi has more knowledge of the force (by his vaporous exit in battle with Vader) but I'm going with the guy in black!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yoda or Darth Vader but are equal in the movies to make it balanced but i think yoda is better cuz he is wiser and fasterWww@Enter-QA@Com
