Best 50's sci-fi film: The Day The Earth Stood Still or The Thing From Anoth!

Question: Best 50's sci-fi film: The Day The Earth Stood Still or The Thing From Another World!?
I know it's a hard decision, because both are classics!. But, if you had to say which film had the best message, which one would you pick!? My all-time favorite is The Day The Earth Stood Still, which I heard Hollywood is planning to remake!. Keanu Reeves is the main choice to play Klaatu!. I still think it's a mistake!. Not to mention a remake of 1982's The Thing, which is supposed to hit theaters next year!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If we're talking Sci-fi films from America, then I'd agree with you, but I would also have to mention War of the Worlds!. But if we're talking Globally, then I would say the best sci-fi film from the 50's is 1954's Gojira, known more popularly in America as Godzilla!. If you've seen the uneditied Japanese version then you know it has a fairly deep message regarding Nuclear Proliferation, and it's a cool concept!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with you!. I really liked The Day The Earth Stood Still!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
