Question: Event Horizon-too much gore and a bad director!?
The concept for Event Horizon was interesting, unfortunately I was turned off by the gore factor!. Do you think it would have done better at the box office if another director was at the helm, or if there was less gore in the film!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I guess I could agree that the gore could have been toned down a bit, but I don't think that it would have been better with another director!.
I actually thought of "Event Horizon" as more of a horror movie than a science fiction movie!. I thought the director did an excellent job building suspense, and really making you feel the terror that the characters experienced!. It was a really scary movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Probably both!. The idea of the movie was a good one that left alot open!. Ex!. Where exactly did the ship go!? Who or what was the force behind it all!? The movie did have alot of gore but followed Hellraiser's suit with pain, pleasure(s&m), the next dimension, hell and so forth!. The images were disturbing but I think it was to drive the point of where the ship went home!. Chaos, Hell!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
