Answers:
The last 3D movie I saw was at iMAX in Brafdord about life under the sea LOL !.!. an octopuss put its tentacle in my face !.!. =]Www@Enter-QA@Com

The answer is occasionally!. I believe it was last year when I saw a re-release of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3D at the local multiplex!. I recently saw an ad for "Journey to the Center of the Earth," which stars Brendan Fraser and is coming out this summer, and they said some of the showings will be in 3D!.

IMAX theaters sometimes have 3D showings, as do film festivals!. Last month, I saw a Rita Hayworth movie called "Miss Sadie Thompson" that was originally released in 3D when it came out in 1953, and they found the last remaining print for this showing!. I even have the nifty glasses to prove it!. :)

So, yes, 3D movies are still shown in cinemas, but they're usually special releases!. And they usually cost more to see!. :(Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, I do not think so, because the equipment used for showing these films are no longer available, to show proper 3D films you need 2 projectors, running in perfect sync:, and most cinemas now run with 1 projector!.!.!.!.hope this helpsWww@Enter-QA@Com

With CGI, it's now much easier to produce a simultaneous 3D version with the original 2D!. Films like "Beowulf" and "Meet the Robinsons" were had a limited IMAX 3d release!.
Coming up in 2009 are "Monsters v Aliens", "Horrorween" and "The Stewardesses"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They are released outside of mainstream cinema, at specially designed Imax screens!. I went to see Beowolf in 3D in my local Imax cinema a few months ago, and I know they made Polar Express in 3D as well recently!.

You may strike it lucky and find one, but I've not heard of them coming out in mainstream cinemas for years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because of the inconvieniance and the cost, there are extremly few films released in 3-D!. You have to have special, clumsy cameras for the special effects,it's time consuming and there's the cost of the glassesWww@Enter-QA@Com

The IMAX cinemas do!. also films when they come out do at the normal cinema!.
