Question: I never understood this about bollywood movies!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Can someone answer this question!?
How come, I swear in EVERY SINGLE bollywood movie I have seen, whenever there is a Caucasian (white) person in a small, minor role, whenever he/she talks, it'll be English right, but you can tell the producers mute their voice, and dub over some Indian guy/girl's voice talking for them in English with a thick heavy Indian accent instead!. It doesn't make any sense!
A) Why would they do that!?, b) what white person has an Indian accent, and c) why would they do that!? I mean it's not like the white person can't talk and say few lines for the movie!. And it's not like the audience won't understand the English language!.!.i mean in the end the Indian person's dubbed voice is English too lol!.
For example, I saw Heyyyyyyyy Baby last weekend, and one of hte opening scenes had 3 white girls, and they all had Indian accents lol!.

FIrst 'Heyy Baby' was a lousey copy of Three man and a baby!.
All Indian movies are dubbed in post production -mostly acotrs dub thier own parts!. Or at least that was the was it was!. I believe it still is!. So when they dub parts of minor characters who were shot abroad, they do not have the money to bring those bit players back to India to dub thier lines so local people do their best to imitate foriegn accents!. So in an indian movie all White folks, weather American British or Australian sound the same!.
In some serious movies though - such as Lagaan (the guy from Season 2 of '24') or Mangal Pandey or Name sake, it won't be so!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i doubt they do it for like every white person, i cant think of any movie actually!.!.!.!.if they do it it seems logical considering majority of the audience are indians whose first language is hindi and it would be difficult for them to understand white people's accent, its not about understanding the language its the accent!.

Perhaps the director is trying to point out that the three English are raised in India, so they have strong Indian accent!. Plus i'm sure Indian Language is not easy to pronounce!. Imagine you trying speaking in Chinese in a movie!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

good qns!! well, Indian's are the target audience for all Bollywood movies!.!. and Caucasian's have their own accent which maybe Indian's may not be able to comprehend!.!.!. so i think that is why they get an Indian to speak so that people watching the movie can get a hank of what he/she is talking about!.!.!. co they probably have similar accent!.!. whereas if a Caucasian would have spoken, his/her accent would probably be too heavy for and Indian to understand!.!.!.!. (when i say Indian, i mean those in India, with that heavy Indian accent)
