In the film The Great Escape (which is a true story) The German soldiers killed 50 of the escapees from the camp, because they were so pissed off and embarrassed by the incident!. C'mon, they killed innocent Jewish women & children for fun!
They show you the ones that actually got away, and then others werer captured!. Roger was a real pain in the *** for the Germans during the war, because evrywhere he was held, he would organize an escape!. The camp was a special place for POW's that tried to escape a lot, it was suppose to be unescapable!.
Here's a litle tidbit you might not know!. THe actor Richard Attenborough that plays Roger, is also the actor in Jurassic Park, that owns the park and brings his grandchildren to visit it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
