How is dual role accomplished in a movie?!

In movies, we see the same actor playing different personalities, who appear on-screen together!. How is this effect achieved!? One of them cannot be a body double, because we see their face too!. I have also seen the same actors talk and fight with each other!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
