By this I mean in the entire world, not just America!. By entire world, I mean, every human being currently alive!. Has Star Wars infiltrated more human minds than Star Trek!? Which is more widely recognized!? I'm not interested in which was has greater cultural impact, that answer is quite obvious (annoying huh), but rather simply in the level and magnitude of popularity regarding the two!. There are more Star Trek conventions BUT more people quote Star Wars!.
I would have to say Star Wars, just because there are more toys and it's less 'geeky' to quote Star Wars!.
