Question: American Pshyco Movie!.!. So Confused!?
i have seen this movie MANY times, and i just dont get it at the end!. i understand for the most part but then at the end when he is confessing to killing all these people and the lawyer tells him paul allen is really alive and the lawyer calls him by another name instead of patrick!.!. is he really patrick, did he really kill all these people!?!? im so confused on what the hell is going on!. is he imagining everything that happened!? and the apartment where he left all the bodies!?!? he went back in and it was freshly painted like nothing happened, yet the realtor was so mean to him!.!. was she just a nasty woman in general!?!? what was her problem towards him!?!? did anything actually happen in that apartment or was he imagining it all!?!?
sooo confused!.!. can anyone elaborate on this movie!?!? i cant figure it out and always look for clues or answers to my questions, but i just cant get anything!.!. maybe its me!?!?!! it kinda leaves everything open ended and you wondering what just happened!.!. lol!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it was all in his head!. he didn't kill those people!.
they show you hints of that at the dry cleaners, at the club, at the atm, where it asks him to feed it a kitten, or the way he looks at his gun in disbeleif when it blows up the cop car!. he was just mentally insane!. i think all the death scenes we saw represented his mind going wild while listening to music, and doing sketches!. we were seeing his daydreams, and they seemed so real to us as real in the movie, because it represents how real it seemed to him!. bateman was just as confused as we were watching it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Everything happened!.!. if you noticed throughout the movie, they were always getting people confused-- mostly because they all looked and acted completely the same!. The point of the film/book was to mock the 80s yuppie lifestyle!. People were so obsessed with themselves that he could get away with all of the atrocities he committed and have his attempts to admit them taken as a joke!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think after a night !.!.!.or many of cocaine and drink and tons of stress,he killed Paul then lost his freakin mind!.!.!.!.he thought he killed a bunch of other people but it was just a fantasy like when he stood over the girl with the nail gun!.
He all ready had a psychiatrist that he was seeing!.
