It has all the makings, been publicized for a year now, and stars the late Heath Ledger in maybe his most memorable role!.

While I do agree with you that Heath Ledger has probably given his best performance in TDK, I doubt that it will break any records!.
Due to the underperformance of Indiana Jones and Sex and the City, I'm pretty sure that either Iron Man or the Dark Knight will deservedly take the throne as most successful movie of 2008!. The only reason Iron Man, one of the lesser comic book heroes, has earned $300 million in the bank so far is because it was just good!. Word of mouth totally saved it, and that's a good thing considering it wasn't one of those overhyped movies like Transformers!.
It all depends on if the Dark Knight is good!. If its even half as good as Begins was, then it'll do fine at the BO!. But if it pulls a Spider-Man 3 on us, its screwed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it might be the 2nd best because i know all heath ledger fans and movie critics would want to see his last movie by the trailer i know it will break iron mans record all the way iron man is nothing compared to batman all i can say it might be in the top 5 best gross opening weekendWww@Enter-QA@Com

No, I'm certain it won't!. The last Batman movie opened to about $48 million!. "The Dark Knight" should do more than that, but I don't think it's going to break any records!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
