Question: WAS Anikin REALLY the chosen one!?
I dont fully understand how Anikin brought balance to the force!. I heard it's because he crossed over to the dark side!.!.!.but i'm confused!. Was it him!? or could it have been Luke!?

Anikin is definitely the chosen one, its just that bringing balance to the force wasn't exactly what the Council expected!. At the end of Episode three, the only force users left alive are Yoda, Obi Wan, Darth Vader and the Emperor!. Two per side!. Fairly well balanced!. I think the key was when Yoda and Mace Windu are discussing the prophecy!. Yoda says, "A Prophecy that misinterpreted, may be," (or something like that!.
Interesting point about Luke!. While he, in my opinion represents balance in the force (we see him use both dark and light side powers in Episode 6), he is not the one who "brought" balance to the force, he simply "is" balance in the force!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, he is the one who brought balance to the force!. Think about it, he was a Jedi who went to the dark side and became one of the most powerful Sith lords of all time!. While still a Sith, he destroyed the Emperor (his own master) and saved a Jedi!. He was both at the same time, and showed that the dark side could not hold him forever!. That is my take anyway, and some ideas that I heard from George Lucas in an interview where he was asked pretty much the same question!. He said it is more fun to listen to everyone's opinion, so he didn't go into TO much detail!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Luke was actually the chosen one!. He's the one who brought balance to the force!. He brought the good out of Vader/Anikin and that's when he killed the Emperor!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
