I did like it very much!. And I'm Christian!. No "God" was killed in it, to the ignorant person who said that!. And just for the record it's not set in our world, so it is a fictional 'God' they kill in the future supposedly!. Not THE God!. Get your facts straight and accept that it was a fantasy movie and book!. Not real life!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

"The Golden Compass" is a darker, deeper fantasy epic than the "Rings" trilogy, "The Chronicles of Narnia" or the "Potter" films!. It springs from the same British world of quasi-philosophical magic, but creates more complex villains and poses more intriguing questions!. As a visual experience, it is superb!. As an escapist fantasy, it is challenging!. Teenagers may be absorbed and younger children may be captivated; some kids in between may be a little conflicted, because its implications are murky!.

It was okay, I tried reading the book several years ago and wasn't very interested in that either!. I love movies (especially fiction), but this one never managed to catch much of my attention!. And it ended randomly, kind of like the first Lord of the Ring movie, which I did not appreciate!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Overall, I personally thought it was a good movie!. It had nice graphics, stunning special effects, great cast, and an interesting storyline!. The only thing I didn't like about it was the ending!. It was a TOTAL cliffhanger! Ya know!? There'd BETTER be a sequal, or I'll kill the director! lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
well I think it's wrong!.!.!.!.!.they go and kill God in it so they can control everything!.!.!.!.it sets wrong examples for people!.!.!.!.and it does NOT matter if it's fiction!.!.!.!.for example!.!.!.!.(people shouldn't make movies that portray that it's ok for teenagers to go have sex and drugs and crap like that) it's wrong even if it IS fiction!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
