Rambo II question?!

Question: Rambo II question!?
I saw "Rambo: First Blood" for the first time in 25 years last night!. It seems like Rambo was arrested at the end and looking at a murder rap (a cop, no less)!.

What then was set up for "Rambo II"!? Did he break out of jail!? Did he avoid prison through an insanity plea!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
At the beginning of "Rambo 2: First Blood" he is in a jail for all the mess he did in "First Blood (Rambo 1)", then this general friend of him come to him while he is hammering rocks and tell him the president will give him a pardon for doing a secret job for the government (it's hinted that this General helped him to get this opportunity to get the pardon)!.

The job as you know was to investigate if there was any America prisoners on this Vietnamese POW camp!. To take a few pictrures and come back!.

Since the President have the legal power to pardon anyone for any crime (even murder), that makes a logical explanation!.

By the way the cop he killed in "First Blood 1" was in self defense but of course cops didn't care; he was also send to jail for attempted murder (shooting at the sheriff), several aggravated assaults, resisting arrest, escaping from jail, killing search dogs, stealing or destruction of government and private property, and over a hundred gun violations!.!.!.AND vagrancy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He was found guilty and thrown into jail!. The second movie starts off with them talking to him in a rock quarry at the jail!. They ask him to go back into Nam and take recon pictures of an old POW camp than is supposed to be deserted!. If he does that, then he will be pardoned!. Obviously, things do not go that easily!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

he was in jail and the army and some civilians came and made him a deal to go to viet nam and just take photos of any pow's he saw but he rescued them instead and the civilians did not like that so all hell broke looseWww@Enter-QA@Com

They never really explained that whole situation all too clearly, but we can assume Rambo was taken into some sort of custody just for the amount of damage he did!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
