What assasin takes the assignment and doesn't finish the job!? When Beatrix found out she was pregnant!? When Miss Karen Kim blew a hole thru the door with the shotgun!? When she was convinced not to shoot after Beatrix asks her to read the strip!? From what I know (from what I read!) people who pay for hits don't react too kindly to failure!. also asassins (the good ones who aren't dead) would never take their eyes off their prey (she looked down and away from Beatrix Kiddo to pick up the strip and the box!) and lowered her shotgun as the door closes when she tells Beatrix congratulations!. The reason why Beatrix was never hunted down after failing to go through with the "job" is because it was assumed she had been assassinated while on the job!.
Plus Miss Kim probably didn't want to go through with the job due to her personal belief system - its one thing to kill a person, but alot of people will not kill a child - even if it is still in uteroWww@Enter-QA@Com

I'm sure the assassin just disappeared, even though it's never clarified!. Beatrix was very convincing in her argument and persuaded the hit woman to take her eyes off her mark to see the strip!. Either way it was not central to the story so the nuance was not emphasized!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
