What old horror film is this?!

Question: What old horror film is this!?
When I was a small child I saw an old B&W horror movie on late-night TV!. It was about an evil ventriloquist with supernatural powers who had a living male dummy that would kill on command!. The ventriloquist menaced a young woman for the purpose of transferring her soul into the body of a female dummy as he wanted a mate for the male dummy!. I didn't watch the entire film because it gave me the creeps!. I had nightmares after seeing it!. Now that I'm older I would like to see the movie from it's entirety but I don't know the title or the name of the actors!. I remember the cast had accents so I'm guessing it was a European film!. Probably made in the 50's or 60's!. Can anyone identify this movie!? It is definately NOT "Magic", "Attack of the Puppet People", "Dead of Night", "Dead Silence", a "Goosebumps" episode or a "Twilight Zone" episode!. Again, feature-length movie, B&W, European, 50's or 60's!. Thanks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Devil Doll (1964)
IMDB synopsis:
Vorelli (Bryant Haliday) is a ventriloquist and hypnotist with an amazing dummy, Hugo!. Vorelli meets and pursues Marianne Horn (Yvonne Romain), a beautiful heiress!. He mesmerizes her and induces a baffling coma!. His buxom mistress, Magda (Sandra Dorne), fears he'll dump her for the younger woman and threatens to expose him!. Vorelli tricks Hugo into killing Magda while he's safely elsewhere!. Marianne's boyfriend, Mark English (William Sylvester), investigates!. He discovers another killing in Vorelli's past, of a man called Hugo!. The girl wakes from her coma and announces she will marry the hypnotist!. When the triumphant Vorelli tells Hugo his plans for Marianne and a new, female dummy, a final confrontation yields surprising results!.
TRIVIA:
Like the ventriloquist dummy in the similar segment of "Dead Of Night" (1945), the doll's name is Hugo!.

William Sylvester's name remains little-known although he has a prominent role in one of the most-famous films in cinema history!. He portrays Dr!. Heywood Floyd in "2001: A Space Odyssey", whose voyage from the Earth to the moon is traced!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
