Question: How can I be a director when I am older!?
I am 15 and I really want to be a director when I am older, but, I don't really know where to start!. My favorite directors are Terrence Mallick and Alfonso Cuaron!. I really like their style, I just want to know how one becomes a director!. I know I have to go to film school, but what else!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am not an expert at the subject, but I believe that you firstly need to come up with a few ideas about simple and short movies, get your gadgets and then start shooting!. When you made quite a resume, get in touch with production companies or studios etc!.!.!. and tell them about you!. Make connections, move to L!.A!.
It would be impressive if you could afford the gadgets and make a short movie now that you are 15!. Make an online search about books and other resources which can help you!. There are a lot out there about directing movies and editing them professionally on professional computer softwares!. Have a look online and then save money to get a few professional cameras and microphones and then a professional video editing software!. You will need to be saving for a while though, those tings do cost!. If you are gonna do a short movie now at your 15 then be sure you really wanna do it and you want spend the money on this gadgets for nothing!. Be sure that you really wanna become a director when you get older!.
Set up a club or something at your neighborhood or at your school for acting and get some people of your age who are good at acting to be your "cast"!. also, you might try getting in touch with a few small local companies to sponsor you for your short movies and in exchange you will advertise them in some way through your movies!. (Put an adult to do that, it's not likely for people to wanna sponsor a 15 year old director-wanna-be)!. :p
If you do this now at your 15 and make some really good movies and get a few local people know you, you might wanna try and make a full-length, one hour and 20 minutes movie!. That is if you will be able to get people to sponsor you and you have a great idea and you can handle greatly all your gadgets etc!.!.!. It is not hard!. Try and find some people your age who are interested into these stuff and get them to help you cause you need camera-men and you will find it easier when more than one people will know how to handle a professional movie editing software!.
Hopefully, you have the talent of directing a movie!. Stars might not be born but they are certainly not made!. You need to have the talent or else even after a gazillion of lessons with the best of the best people you will still not be good!.
