I haven't been able to find your movie based on the info you provided - BUT it did bring a few other movies to mind that you may really enjoy - kind of the same story line!. Just thought you may want them as well in case you can't find this movie:

MEMORIES OF A GEISHA: In 1929 an impoverished nine-year-old named Chiyo from a fishing village is sold to a geisha house in Kyoto's Gion district and subjected to cruel treatment from the owners!. When she is young she is befriended by a man on a bridge - he buys the young girl a ice cone!. Everything she does from that point on is to see him again - as a woman - with hopes he will feel the same for her!. She grows up and becomes a renowned geisha, entering a society of wealth, privilege, and political intrigue!. As World War II looms Japan and the geisha's world are forever changed, and her dream of being with the man she secretly loves may not happen!.

FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL: The film follows the fortunes of Charles and his friends as they wonder if they will ever find true love and marry!. Charles thinks he's found "Miss Right" in Carrie, an American!. This British subtle comedy revolves around Charlie, his friends and the four weddings and one funeral, which they attend!. Stars Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell!.

I LOVE TROUBLE: Peter Brackett and Sabrina Peterson are two competing Chicago newspaper reporters who join forces to unravel the mystery behind a train derailment!. Stars Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts!.

LOVE ACTUALLY: Follows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives in various loosely and interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England!. Stars Hugh Grant and Colin Firth!.

NOW AND THEN: Four childhood friends (Melanie Griffith, Demi Moore, Rosie O'Donnell and Rita Wilson) gather together to prepare for the birth of Wilson's baby!. While together, they reminisce about when they were kids (Birch, Hoffmann, Ricci and Moore respectively) in 1970!.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE: The story is based on Jane Austen's novel about five sisters - Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia Bennet - in Georgian England!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
