Question: Would a production company even read a script submitted by two 16-year-olds!?
Hey!.

So, would a movie production company read a script submitted by 2 16-year-olds!? I mean, when you send them the script you include a letter or something but you don't say anything about your age right!? So, even if they look at the script and like it and then contact us back, would they change their mind if we said we were 16!?

Please don't say that there's no way we have a good idea or something that is worth becoming a movie, just answer the question if you know straight forward!.

Thank you in advance!.

Answers:
No!. It's not because you're sixteen!. It's because you don't have an agent!. The only way anyone important will ever read your script is if you have an agent or if you know someone in the industry that knows someone important!.

Production companies get thousands of scripts mailed to them in what they call "mail rooms!." They have people hired to actually open scripts in the mail and throw them away!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Look, they won't even accept a script from a 56-year old!.

You seriously need an agent!.

I know a lot of people talk about those three girls that submitted a Tiny Toons script to Speilberg and it was produced, but that was a bizarre case of happenstance!.

If you send an unsolicited script, it comes back UNOPENED, as no studio, perfomer, director or producer wants a plagiarism lawsuit bothering them!. Age is not a factor!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That is 100% true about having an agent, it's a definite must!. You shouldn't be worried about your age though, Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg wrote Superbad when they were in highschool!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You don't just send them a script and expect them to read it!. Because they won't, regardless of how old you are!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

this is the best anwser you will have cuz i am 16 and i am film maker student as well first make sure your totaly finished and that you still got all your story draft or atleast some of them with you also get your script protected by a well known company so no one steals your ideas second write a summry of the movie in 2 ways and if you can provied some drawing of your charcters then go to a production company with your friend and someone over 18 years old or a lawer or sign in a writeing competion for teens and if you want to take the as a real carrier go to finaldraft!.com it may have some competions this year and read many scripts online and go to www!.imdb!.com which provieds everything about movies and if you get a chance and got money try going to summer camps this year to newyork film acadmy they have a site www!.nyfa!.com i hope these info help you to get your script on the big screen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
