Can anyone help me find out what movie this is from?!

Well all i remember is a scene that a teenage boy was first gonna go and get his driver's license and while in the driving portion of the test the driving teacher had a cup full of coffee and told him that the coffee was very hot and if it fell on him then he would fail the test!. Then when he almost finished the cup flipped but it was already empty and he passed!. After that i cant remember i just remember its sorta old but not really!.
